Macedonia is north of Greece, south of Serbia, east of Albania and west of Bulgaria. The countries surrounding and including Macedonia were once known as Yugoslavia. In that time, my great-great-grandfather and his brother immigrated to Rochester, NY. During the 1920's, they made enough money to go back to Macedonia, making the Glamcevski's one of the wealthiest families in Macedonia. Years later, my great grandfather discovered remains from Alexander The Great's city, Heraklea. To this day it remains in our family, with my uncle, Engin (Steven), as the caretaker and archeologist. Many of the members in the Glamcevski family immigrated to the United States after WWII, but my mothers family was one of the few that stayed.
On March 2, 1988 , Silvana Glamcevski was married to George Mitrevski. The marriage was an arrangement and possibly for the best, giving my mother a ticket to America. Within a year after the marriage, I was born on March 9, 1989 in Syracuse, NY. I was brought up like
